AIDS Memorial Grove Workday 3/19

PILF is helping sponsor one of the monthy workdays at the AIDS Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park on Saturday, March 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

This is a rare opportunity to spend the day working in a national monument with a seriously diverse group of San Franciscans.  Saturday begins with coffee and bagels and then volunteers are split into different work groups.  At noon everyone gathers for a circle ceremony where announcements are read, the group observes a moment of silence for those we have lost, and the sponsors of the day are acknowledged.  There are usually tours of the grove and always a lunch provided at 12:30.  It’s truly a great experience and many first timers become regular volunteers.

Also, if you need PILF volunteer hours, this is an excellent chance to get them.

More information about volunteer days can be found here: http://www.aidsmemorial.org/volunteer

Sign up by sending an email with your name and contact info to chairs@usfpilf.org
Space is limited to 30 students, so reserve your spot asap.
